Same here. Mine has been gone over thirty years and I still miss him, even though he was a bit "spirited" and liked to go out for a curry on his own, and helpfully drag scuba divers to the shore.
JK2006 The only dogs I adore even more than Spaniels are German Shepherds - Alsatians - HIGHLY intelligent. My Mum's dog Max and I actually used to have long conversations which highly amused everyone observing!

Timmy was very beautiful.

We keep acquiring accidental spaniels of various types.
Our first, we pulled out of a bag in the canal, pregnant. We kept her and couldn't part with the pups either.
I currently have one spaniel in two halves, if you see what I mean. Chin and Papillon. Total joy.
