Everyone should get checked at the earliest opportunity.
If my wife's treatment for cancer (in lockdown) had been delayed a few months more my life would be very different now (perhaps if we had lived in a different part of the country it would be as well). It got bloody close to spreading.
But the treatment was swift and worked and the future odds are in her favour. Which is all we can ask for right now. Personally, I will be straight to my GP first sign of anything.
That may not have been the case before.
I am glad she won that battle Wyot and you should be proud to be married to her. |

It's apparently one of the more easily treatable cancers to get if it's caught early, so hopefully your friend will be OK.
Prostate cancer is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers and is very treatable if caught early – research suggests treatment at stages one and two has a near 100% survival rate compared to around 50% at stage four.

An elderly relative of mine was referred to hospital by his GP for tests because the GP suspected prostate cancer. He skipped the appointment (his GP was furious with him) and ended up dying some time later with bone cancer. So avoiding treatment if you get it might not be the best thing to do.
My father had treatment which made him look death warmed up. Its both shocking and sad to see. My uncle just let nature take it cause. However medical science has come a long way since then. Tubs is going to a specialist tomorrow and I will be there. |

Poor old Tubs. I wish him strength to cope with what is coming.
I think the survival rate is about eighty percent now, so don't panic, Greenman.x
Thank you again, it's a cancer that's close to my heart. I have said if I do I get (genetics) I will carry on without treatment. Tubs, I worry about he is a gentle giant. |
