I never saw Cats but I was told it's odd, bizarre and boring. Weren't Starlight Express people on roller skates acting out a train or rollercoaster?

Wyot Not into musicals.

For real drama, stagecraft and musicianship try this Phantom Of The Opera!

I saw it three times with Micheal Crawford in the late 80's. I was shocked and amazed at how brilliant he was.

I had a call from my parents from a payphone, who saw it in London. It was during an interval my mother told me how great the first act was and if it comes to Broadway I must go. When I said it isn't played by the bloke who did the rubbish the awful Some Mother's Do Ave Em? She just told me to shut up and demanded I go and see it.

I am glad she suggested it to me.

However you need to be jabbed to go to the US and crime is thriving in New York. When I saw Phantom for the first time, I could only hear Judas Iscariot by Rick Wakeman, which was a bonus for me as I love prog-rock.
