Sounds interesting. Thanks for the tip.

I read the book when it was first published. I was shocked that Moss did himself in.

Hadn't thought of it that way! I do think it's ironic that, while he writes to Bamber because of his fascination with the case and gets Christmas cards (!), he seems to see women who write "fan mail" and have a "macabre fascination" with Bamber as being in a different category from himself. I suspect that MWT may have been "played" by Bamber, which was what I suspected happened with Russell Causley, whom he also apparently corresponded with.

Killers are very good at playing with people...read the Last Victim by Jason Moss, he committed suicide apparently it drove him insane writing to killers.

Previous discussion about this (thought there was more, but Google finds only one previous thread):

MWT:

"I first started writing to Jeremy back in early February 2012 because the case not only always fascinated me, but because I wanted to find out more about some aspects of it that did not sit comfortably with me. As a result of my contact with him and his solicitor I decided to make a programme later that year, which focused specifically on the issues of the moderator and the burn marks on the back of Neville Bamber, Jeremy's dad. The programme rated very well, watched by over 3.4 million with 17% share. Since then I have been writing to Jeremy every 4 or 5 months, and he always sends me a Christmas card.

Jeremy like many other notorious prisoners gets fan mail, overwhelmingly from women, some I guess have a macabre fascination with him and his case..."

Ironic that he says the case has always fascinated him, but doesn't seem to consider himself in the category of women who have a macabre fascination with Bamber.
