This makes Paul MacCartney, Denny Laine, and John Conteh as the only surviving members from the cover of the Band on the Run Album. |

Watching Parkinson at 50 on iplayer (which was shown in the middle of the Pandemic), he looked very gaunt but was still very sharp. He never saw himself as the star of the show, unlike Norton or Ross
Watching the interview with Mohammed Ali, reminded me of why I never liked Ali. A very arrogant, charmless man. Even as a child, I wanted him to lose.
I think Graham Norton is more a performer but I like his style. |
Whole Truth |
Not to knock a late beloved 'sacred cow-bull'.
But Meg Ryan found Parky an arrogant paternalist Victorian averse to mere modern femme nudity.
And streetsmart, if uneducated, Ali 'educated' 2 x O-Levels Parky when he broke the fourth wall by saying, paraphrased: "You're so sweet backstage before the show about a 'nice little chat', but now on-air you attack my religion. Well, sucka, I can beat you mentally, and physically, so back off - fool. You're dumber than you look!" As Parky almost slouched to the floor.
Next day Parky's tough Yorky Dad asked, "Why didn't thar HIT him?"
Later on ITV, 2006, Parky plainly asked Blair, "How are you getting on now with the media?"
Blair rightly shot back, "They're deranged!" But the cowardly control room quickly closed the segment with some ads, and came back with a new guest - GUTLESS CREEPS!!

Most boxers are the same Robbie, however I did see Butterbean at a convention in Vegas; he was both charming and hilarious and made time for everyone.
Prince Naseem is a right arrogant jerk. |
