Because it's a BETTER STORY to keep hounding him (REAL child abuse). Like Prince Andrew - innocent men, falsely accused but not as good a story as VILE PERVERT.
Likewise the Spanish football madness. When someone kisses a player on the lips instead of on the cheek, all hell breaks loose. Why?
