In my opinion, the bread and butter of this case is same old same old as JK describes above, but the shoot this man down mendacity is coming from those opposed to his views.
He's projected himself as some alternative demagogue - a less extreme take on David Icke, Alex Jones and their ilk - and the thing with that is a large portion of what they say is going against the generam narrative and this century questioning that and offering yourself as an alternative voice is also offering yourself as a target - one only has to see the extreme reactions coming from his one-time media chums to see this is true.
The Powers That Be, 11 years ago almost to the day, gave these people the biggest story ever, the conspiracy to end all conspiracies, and they have all run with it - blind to the fact that this is the Ultimate Rabbithole - and now that weapon is being used to take them down too Very few of us are prepared to recognise the folly of *Savile* as it was made such a taboo and it is still making a nonsense of some otherwise reasonable voices. EVerytime anybody uses *Savile* or *Harris* as some kind of proof of wrongdoing, I immediately see that they are so wide of the mark that they may never understand the real *why*.

The problem with conspiracy theories like this is that they distract attention from the real issue.

Brand's six million plus popularity and growing Worldwide anti-mainstream/establishment has spooked the ever corrupt powers.
So, he had to be 'disappeared' and the guaranteed way even more popular (with the shallow ignorant masses) is always FAI/sex claims.
Back when he was a hard-partying movie star, Russell Brand was the darling of the mainstream media. But ever since the British comedian started turning hard against the establishment, exposing the mainstream narrative on COVID, the Ukraine War and U.S. Empire, the knives have been out for him. And now we know how they plan to get him, with a series of questionable rape allegations emerging from dubious sources in his distant past.

I've said elsewhere, looking at the first BOND films, the male attitude to women in the 1960s was disgraceful then and now would be illegal.
My open bisexuality was even, at the time, considered rebellious but acceptable (remember the glam era of people like Bowie and Marc Bolan and Gary Glitter) whilst any kind of gay sex was totally illegal until 1967, and, even then, only legal over 21.
Russell Brand was considered Norty But Nice.
I've never found him amusing or interesting but many loved him and, finding his chosen area of young women keen to have sex with him, he took advantage - usually to their delight (like groupies in the century before).
Sometimes he got it wrong, as he admits in his silly books and elsewhere.
But now, inflated by media who always inflate (it's their nature - better story) the verbal photoshopping of history has kicked in, as it always does.
And, like everything else, simplification takes over. It always does.

No. Just suggesting that there ARE false accusers. There IS genuine delusion. Some people DO like to make easy money. And sometimes pinching a buttock or kissing a cheek can become rape when encouraged by media or police or even simply changing memory.
And easy though it may be, dumping the presumption of innocence is a dangerous path for society to take.
I never found him funny and I have heard in his book he abused animals. People who abuse animals do turn sinister later in life. It may/may not be the case here.
Of course he should go to court to have his say if there is evidence and not be trailed by the legacy media and cesspit social media.
