Ribald Impossible to tell the cause of the Luton fire - even the investigators don't know. But, undoubtedly, electic cars will come up with new routes to combustion. Important however to ensure that electrics/power and fuel aren't stored and utilised in the same vehicle.

Diesel is a very slow burning fuel and takes ages to light a bonfire with it.

Overheated batteries combust very quickly and if there is an electrical fault heating the batteries then it's Goodnight Vienna.
