Understandably when those truly untalented people (like, in the past, footballers) are cast over, the resentment simmers and grows and explodes when an excuse to erupt reveals itself. The worst are those who, for example, have to explain to band members why their demo has been turned down. Or, in the wonderful world of this century, when their audition for talent shows fails. Bitter. Sour. Sad. But entirely understandable.
Absolutely, the bitterness behind those kind of posters (anywhere) is so clear. I guess they don't realise this, or would not post in such terms. No one, after all, wishes to signal inadequacy. But inadequacy is mostly what you see on any Twitter comment stream. |
