JK2006 I really have no interest in economics but can anybody explain why the two interest rates have to be so different? As a saver throughout my life, I based my retirement wrongly on interest of 10% as it was. Admittedly it was the False Allegations Industry that stole most of my savings but the collapse in interest rates for savers also meant I had to spend savings in order to exist. As a result I was on Legal Aid in 2018.
