JK2006 Reading the Wayne Couzens report is jaw dropping. Police have behaved appallingly for decades (to my certain knowledge 24 years) but rape and murder are just the tips of the icebergs. By "assisting" false accusers and lying to Judges, failing to disclose vital evidence (JK and Andrew Malkinson). Sometimes there's money in it or sex or promotion or simply increased budgets and praise. Sometimes just incompetence. Sometimes (as in the EMMA case) senior cops just avoid bad publicity, preferring to let women get raped to negative press for top cops.
It is APPALLING! And nobody cares (unless a TV company makes a drama out of it).
