I would have no problem with private water companies if they maintained a healthy water system (in all ways) as well as profiteering. But all they do is profiteer and when, effectively, there is no competition - they have a monopoly - none of the benefits of capitalism are realised. We just get shat on, whichever way you look at it.

Wyot The privatisation of water is ludicrous and wrong. What a state of affairs, billions in debt, the rivers full of shit. Water companies need to be re nationalised: water does not belong to shareholders; it belongs to all of us and all creatures of the planet. But of course we will then all have to foot the bill for the debt. Whichever way you look - shit. What a terrible thing to have ever done.
