Wyot Governors warn there are no jail spaces and the entire criminal justice system is near collapse:

www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx777w9vgv9o

This is not hyperbole. The Government has been quietly setting months earlier the date prisoners can be released early on Home Detention Curfew (home tag) in order to try and ease the pressure.

Meanwhile, when released, the Probation Service is also unable to cope; and has been told to stop supervising hundreds of prisoners coming towards the end of their licence periods.

This all puts the public at risk and underlines again that this Government has driven all public services into the ground.

I can't understand why a journo hasn't put the pieces together on the CJS.

The story is massive.
