JK2006 Don't get me wrong; I think he should get life for being revoltingly fat. But I do worry about Judges believing what the police or CPS tell them.

The crimes happened JK they were: conspiracy to rape, torture and murder someone.

The evidence was overwhelming that he was in deadly earnest; and he had tried to kidnap and rape before.

This is no bedroom fantasist.

The law got it right here: stopping someone before there is a body. When it is beyond reasonable doubt that there would have been.

Did he really intend to do the crime, or was it just fantasist talk. I don't think he would be physically capable of kidnapping Holly Willoughby. He has had previous convictions of imprisonment, but this was nearly 20 years ago. No wonder the prisons are full if people are banged up for crimes that didn't happen.

He held 2 16 year old girls in a backroom holding a knife he had come out with along with rope ligatures. He only failed to rape - and do whatever else he wanted to - because he failed to manage to tie the ligature up to restrain the children; one of whom managed to run away and sound the alarm. Hugely dangerous man.

20 years ago means nothing if the factors in play are alive now: he has gone way beyond fantasy and would have here. Judge spot on here.
