Indeed, wouldn`t it be fun to hear
"The One and Only", replaced by "The Iffy Talent That Is..." or,
on X Factor, "Badly In Need of the Vocaliser Machine.....", or even, "They said it would never happen and of course it never will....", and "lets once again watch the tedium that bought you to this stage of the contest!"
It reminded me of my radio days this post, every time I hear "its three minutes past(whatever time it is)", wether driving along or walking, I have this panicky twitch to press play on a mini-disc machine and play a jingle,that`ll be the one and only piped in newsfeed then..! |

I'm getting really pi**ed off with the lack of original comments by reality/chat show hosts and judges!!
3 of the worst offenders are :
Talent show judges telling the contestants that they 'REALLY NAILED IT' - what are they, apprentice carpenters ?!! Give us a break.
Talent show hosts telling the contestant who has just been voted off 'LET'S WATCH THE HIGHLIGHTS OF YOUR AMAZING JOURNEY'- of course they've had a journey unless they live in the studios !! DOH!!
Chat show hosts (Paul O'Grady especially) introducing the guest and saying 'Let's give a big welcome to THE ONE AND ONLY....'!! - of course they're the one and only, that's why you booked them!! |
