The perps and victim are all white native Irish.
In fact, not only that, I happen to know that the victim was of subject of a previous attack (a close friend of mine was the prosecuting barrister).
I hope that after leaving hospital she goes straight into rehab and gets away from that lifestyle and those people.
But please, Green Man, don't try to imply that these types of crimes are disproportionately committed by immigrants, because it simply ain't true.
Torture is nothing new along with slavery within in certain groups; not all but a great deal is done within the travelling communities, where they pick up vulnerable people or those with disabilities and promise them some work and board then trap them.
I don't read much Irish news, to be honest, my nearest and dearest friends have died or left the Emerald Isle for South West England or the Isle of Man.
Torturing is not new of course but like Wyot said there is a spike in acid attacks, again is the preferred method in the Middle East especially on women and girls next to stoning. |

Maybe or could just be jealous nutter jilted ex 3rd generation English national. Acid attacks are still rare GM. There was a spike few years back but other than this one you don't hear about it. So, so nasty though... |

Sorry to hear about your sad experiences - but, thankfully, acid attacks are rare here.
Easier to get a blade/knife. The perpetrators of chemical violence need providers. Few sell retail acid. |

I was hoping these kind of sickening attacks had ceased. Don't understand anyone who could do such a thing to anyone. Even your very worst enemy. |
