I do agree with you there Rich. It skanks of Blair's New Liebour....remember when Oasis were invited to No 10 for tea and crumpets....George Michael turned them down....legend.

I never liked his music at all. He was a very classy man to some degree. I loved how he did random acts of kindness without having to do any publicity.

When he was caught in the crapper the press were very homophobic back then , he used his dry wit to the media, which made his fans love even more.

A lot of the LAPD are closet panda poofs. I always wandered if George had a slight crush on Letterman.

Slightly off topic I know to the MP drivel thread point, but regards what you say Green Man about that Swift motorcade, sickening isn't it.

Cooper has some very serious questions to answer. I suspect this is all about the ego of these politicians being able to mix it with a huge pop star. If there was a unique and genuine threat explanation then let's hear it now. But that doesn't begin to explain a heap of free tickets to her concerts for what seems like half the government.

I'll tell you this, if Swift had recently come out in favour of Donald Trump for re-election and held views on the right you can bet your life she would not have been granted that police motorcade charade, even if she is the biggest pop star currently. You know it, I know it, Cooper and Khan would have looked upon her with disdain most likely and dismissed such a request.

These people are abusing their positions, pure and simple.

Most of the time even senior members of the royal family are not going around the streets in motorcades like this, or the Prime Minister!

I'd happily give a motorcade to this dreadful Labour bunch to go to the nearest airport and take a flight out of the country into politcal exile where they surely belong the lot of them.

She is a Soros puppet, I can't imagine conservatives coming over with Trump getting the same treatment.

The intel should be for other arenas and venues. There is a threat and risk everywhere you go. It's not like they are monitoring everyone 24/7 on the Watch List. Swiftie is part of the establishment.
Wyot I personally couldn't care less if they take a few freebies. I just want effective Government. As for the Swift fuss - pure media hype and feeding frenzy. So unimportant. While people fall for it the Government gets away with not facing serious or difficult questions.

Like "party gate" during Covid. Totally irrelevant to anything meaningful to do with the virus and our response to it. Boris correct this week to treat it with contempt. People are more animated about Swift than Starmers support for murderous Netanyahu, or the collapse of criminal justice in this country.
