Green Man One step closer to the Online Safety Bill.

Perhaps they want to do "the right thing" by the young?

I agree though banning is pointless. No doubt Keir Cromwell will be close behind.

We do have to adapt but it is up to parents primarily to protect their children. Parents I know tend go be split between those who can be bothered parenting (control time on phone, not at meal time, encourage reading) and those who can't.

It is the former group of parents seeing the best outcomes by far in their children now.

The state is rarely the solution to anything, but no one dares citicise the parents now.
hedda I'm puzzled why the Murdochs would support this with their business being online so much and kids these days have ipads at school and could probably run rings around adults as to using them.
Green Man There are probably hundreds of other social media platforms the government have no idea about.

The government are retarded to think bans will stop youths from social media. There is something called Discord I have no idea what it is but it's popular.
JK2006 Yes I saw this story Hedda and thought it absurd. Life and technology move forward and it can never go back. Kids at tiny age learn how to use online technology. It is the new way of communicationg. Like climate change, society has to adapt. Whether it's better explanation and teaching - controls, like trying to stop global warning - is simply a waste of time. Adapt society; don't try to stop it.
