Sally Nice Long widowed and virtually retired monarch Victoria is often thought to have had a romantic dalliance with the uncouth Brown. Connolly and Dench brilliantly keeps this mystery alive - giving hints in all directions. But there were no media intrusions then, to help us!
Wyot I do love this film, watched it several times. I wish Billy had done more "serious" roles, he was marvellous...
Downing Street Cat A really great actor is Billy. When he was with Sean Connery one time, Connery laughed so much he thought he was going to dislocate his jaw.
JK2006 Watching this again (love this film) - Dench is of course wonderful but so is Billy Connolly who showed he could act as well as being a totally brilliant comedian, one of the best.
