JK2006 I did like The Lion King 1 but this is really dull. Clever closeups of eyes don't make a movie.
JK2006 Went to this after a couple of rave, 5 star reviews but didn't really like it. Weak script full of cliches. Good technically if you like that sort of thing but worst of all - not a hit in sight. Compared to Elton and Tim's sublime Part One which has several real smashes. I'm not a fan of Miranda. Heard no hits in Hamilton. He seems to always fit tunes to the lyrics which I gather Elton does too but far better and with better lyricists. 3 stars out of 5. The Jungle Book (Mowgli) is far, far better.
