Green Man A good tie sets off the suit and waistcoat Rich.
Rich Women have free the nipple, men have free the neck.

Isn't a tie a bit like an appendix? Useless.

The last time I wore a tie was 10 years ago this month at a funeral. Is it acceptable to turn up to a send off without a tie on?
Green Man I see more and more talking heads in the media not wearing ties with suits. IMHO it only works if you are a male model promoting a brand or Italian.

I do love wearing a tie, blazer and waistcoat when out in the evenings. I can't deal with boring black or brown even at funerals. It makes me feel I am doing a Johnny Cash tribute. Waistcoats and ties had flair and glamour.

I am interested to hear from other blokes what their stances on ties are.
