Green Man Conversation is a slow burner like Blow Up - but Conversation is worth watching even if it's through two sittings. I do like the ending where he is either being bugged himself, he is paranoid over nothing or having a breakdown.
Jo I agree about The French Connection and The Conversation. The French Connection is a great film (with a distinctive score, if I remember correctly, not sure if many film scores these days live up to the older ones). I found The Conversation a bit boring, to be honest, and not always easy to follow because of the crackly recordings.
JK2006 Watched this again - my God what a great film. And that sensational car chase!
But Gene Hackman acted even better in FC2.
It was shown last night followed by The Conversation.
A far less good movie.
But Hackman played a similar character in Enemy of the State with Will Smith - one of my favourite films.
