JK2006 Yes Hedda - I'm sure you've also found one of the great advantages of getting old is that you can enjoy the old classics far more as we've forgotten much of the plots! I rewatched Calamity Jane yesterday having seen it again only a few months ago.
Jo Love that film too.

You've always got great anecdotes, hedda.
hedda been years and years since I saw this film but I watched it again today and just marveled at what perfect cinema it is.

The love relationship that grows between Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn must be some of the finest acting in film history.

What a terrible loss Bogart was at just 57.

Years and years ago when I lived in a Mews St just at the beginning of the antique shops in Portobello Rd I came out one morning to a deserted street at 7am and saw just 2 lone ladies peering into an antique shop and then I heard that rather loud but legendary voice commenting on some fairground pigs in a shop window. She seemed to love them.

Seen plenty of celebrities but spotting an absolute legend was magic.
