I think it would be a good idea for BBC 4 to re-create a Thursday night from the early 80s, like they do with the TOTP re-runs where they show the episode from the corresponding week of the year for a specific year. They could show Tommorrow's World, followed by TOTP, then Entertainment USA, then some 80s sitcom. I'm sure that the BBC 4 audience would lap it up. Yes. And the Kenny Everett Television Show too. Telly was so damned good then. And hardly any Comedy Panel game shows, reality shows or inane talent contests. |

The point is Robbie that a lot of those episodes of both my shows would be interesting to see the cities and celebrities compared to as they are today and the movie trailers and songs/hits/videos would also fascinate millions. |

DLT's wife suffered a breakdown, he lost his home. His weekend shows on R1 had massive numbers of listeners. His Pub Team Quizzes had the whole nation listening in. The only victims here were him and his family. |

Grantham finally get cancelled when he was acting pervy over on a webcam.
BBC do show old editions of TOTP but they just edited out presenters but there is a lot of episodes wiped from the 60s and 70s.
Entertainment USA was a good show and BBC do repeat Whicker's World every now and then which was topical for the day. JK should buy the tapes from the BBC and upload them to Youtube, I loved the New Orleans episode where JK found bootleg tapes from dodgy sellers. |
