Yes I agree that he may in the end accept far smaller tariffs.
But no-one seems to be negotiating although there was a report today that US officials will meet with a Chinese delegation in Switzerland soon.
The problem is most other countries are going elsewhere such as China to Brazil for produce leaving US farmers in the lurch (probably be bailed out for $Billions as they had to be during his first term)
These trade deals often take years to negotiate.
Trump campaigned on lower food and petrol prices. Both have shot up although he bizarrely claims they haven't.

I suspect Trump is manipulating the media and the public with his outrageous ideas and the actual policy changes will be far fewer and less dramatic. Like that stupid wall that never got built. But immigration was down in his tenure and will be this time around (though I disagree with it).

Absolute nonsense saying Trump somehow has a strategy.
He's a dementing idiot who is absolutely ignorant to how the world works.
He's more like a Barnum Bailey showman.
He's not settling for anything 10% or otherwise as no-one is actually "negotiating" with him despite his outrageous lies he has "200" deals in the making.
MAGA deluded fools say claptrap like this.
How would you even implement say a tariff on films? Think about the lunacy for a minute. Youtube for example which basically operates in cyberspace like the streaming services.

Disrupt the established wisdom. Which first worked when he won primaries 9 years ago; then got elected despite total media opposition.
I agree with his strategy - governments are falling apart. The concept of a "super jail" for killers is great (as long as it is humane). Tariffs may or may not work. I disagree with most of his ideas but approve of his strategy - be controversially bonkers; then agree a better deal like funding NATO, stopping wars, removing useless and dead bureaucrats, getting better trade deals.
Society needs radical change and Trump is trying to do that in America - using bargaining - demand 100%, settle for 10%.
