Masterchef, was a cure for insomnia. I liked it in the very early days, then it samey and tiresome. Gary Rhodes tried to be viscous like Ramsay, who just puts on an act for the cameras. He is just pussycat in reality but has an ego.
I do suggest people read Kitchen Confidential. |

According to this it was not the one off use of the word "chinky" but multiple use of the 'N' word that did for Torode.

This does put a different emphasid on this for me, as I would suggest no one can use that word today except without huge racist intent...
Apparently most were pleased to see him go, if the article is to be believed, as he was not a pleasant character.
Perhaps the BBC partly used this as an excuse to get rid of him too...
They won't be glad when they get in new annadine presenters and the show is a flop and doesn't get re-commissioned. Masterchef was failing badly before John and Greg took over. Gary Rhodes was presenting and it wasn't working at all. |

Only rappers and Chris Rock can say the N word. It is what it is. |

I watched John and Lisa's show this morning on ITV, and there are numerous series on Masterchef available on iplayer. If we can quite happily watch these, then why wouldn't we be able to watch future episodes of Masterchef, including those that have already been filmed. |
