Jo Putting out statements is better than nothing, but the politicians need to start doing something. The situation is horrific.

But you wouldn't know that people were bothered, from the comments under the Daily Mail article with the photo of the emaciated baby held by its mother, and under the corresponding article in The Guardian on Facebook. Many of the people posting show extreme callousness and inanity, e.g. "The photo is staged", "The photo is AI generated", "Why does the mother look so well?", "Why don't the adults look skin-and-bone too?", "Why do these people keep having babies?"
