Green Man I love the Blackbelt Barrister.

I find this interesting also. The police are not going to be personal bodyguards 24/7. We are left for to our own devices. Oddly, the media have not shown all the CCTV.

hedda A barrister (Black Belt Barrister) explains aspects of law on Youtube.I always find him interesting (I think Green Man has even posted his videos).

he's explaining aspects of the recent unsavory Heathrow brawl that involved police.

Tommy Robinson posted a video yesterday on X claiming the police had a video that cleared him. Then he deleted it possibly on legal advice.

If the cops do have video surely they should release it if it does clear Robinson / Yaxley Lennon to avoid a possible unnecessary investigation.

Jo I'm sorry that happened to you, hedda. It sounds horrific.
hedda CORRECTION: Stephen Yaxley Lennon was only arrested for questioning on suspicion of GBH but not charged with anything .

My bad.
hedda So Tommy Robinson / Stephen Yaxley Lennon {why doesn't he use Lennon? Great name) has been arrested after returning to the UK.

It was wise of him to come back and of course he is innocent unless proven otherwise.

He was charged with GBH.

This was the charge cops said they'd charge my assailants with along with sexual assault over an attack 50 years ago.

A very kind detective, who reassured me that the fact I was "picked up" in a gay nightclub was immaterial and the attackers would get several years jail if convicted.

I had terrible reservations about the notion anyone would go to jail because of me (but subsequently in therapy was told this was a normal reaction to trauma).

Instead I feigned ignorance over identifying my attackers and went off to work in a pal's restaurant on Shropshire for a few months.

Picking up the Daily Express one morning I saw a blaring headline that my 3 attackers had been arrested at a remote UK airport flying in a small plane filled with heroin.

They subsequently got 16 years jail each, far more than of I had pursued them. Karma.

It's why I support JK's campaigns where he goes into bat often for the underdog.

There's a huge difference between a sexual encounter where one party feels in the morning that perhaps they drank too much and made an unwise choice, and the deliberately planning of a rape/assault by getting the victim drunk, administering a stupefying drug & then beating the victim afterward with a broken nose & collarbone & then shoving them out of car into a Portobello Road gutter at 4 am.

2 years of necessary therapy (my then wife said I had lost my joie de vivre)taught me all the things a genuine victim can go through including self punishment for allowing an assault to happen etc.

I see that lacking in so many claimed victims these days including Virginia Guiffre who stayed with Epstein apparently for years. Nor did I dream of applying for compo which I badly could have used.

No doubt Tommy Robinson will have a top brief in his corner.
