They were superb. Brilliantly produced and acted. Some of the stories were later revamped for Tales of the Unexpected,those not written by Roald Dahl. One story in particular in which a woman kills her husband with a frozen leg of lamb. No spoiler but I think one can guess the outcome.

I've been catching some of these half hour plays from the 1950s - some are incredibly good. Writers like Ray Bradbury and actors like Gary Merrill (All About Eve) and Elizabeth Montgomery (bewitched).
They should do a similar series now. Wake up BBC, ITV, Netflix...
