Al Newcastle need a couple of goalscorers. Owen never recovers form after one injury before he suffers another. Smith never had any form. Martins blows hot and cold. A couple of new strong defenders wouldn't go amiss either.

Kevin Keegan will know the task ahead. Hopefully the Toon Army will allow him time to turn things around. He's inherited a poor squad. The trouble is in trying to convince the better players to sign for Newcastle, but if anyone can draw them in Kevin Keegan can. He should forget ideas about bring Beckham in though.
