I think it could have underlined a point politely for a couple of minutes.

Depends on how you look at it Mart. Beckham already had 99 chances to prove himself in an England shirt. Only so many players can be included in the squad and, if he had been one, he could have prevented a young, fit, on form talent from getting a one and only chance at that level. Friendlies are for trying out new talent and planning for the competitions ahead. They are not for sentiment or individual egos.
Is Beckham getting another cap more important than the future of English football?

I`m afraid I fell asleep, but the lack of inclusion of Becks has ruined my yet to be released album closer, track 2 on
I must say though, I really don`t think it would have hurt giving him(Beckham) at least 2 minutes on the pitch to achieve that cap in an exhibition match.

They could always to liven it up a bit

Rooney ran around a lot and lost his temper a couple of times. He passed badly and missed a couple of easy chances. Can't fault his work rate, apart from the fact that it resulted in nothing.
I agree that Joe Cole was the Man of the Match. Not sure why Gerrard was given that honour; he wasn't our best performer. England were hesitant and disjointed. I'd give them 2 out of 5.
