victor You can't beat people watching. I used to enjoy the London Undrground for casually if discreetly observing others. All of human life down there scuttling about in the dark, rather like worker ants, but without the same optimism.

A little depressing but always endlessly fascinating.
JK2006 I now quite enjoy a restful cappuccino at an outdoors cafe table after shopping, watching the world go by, and saw today so many couples who clearly do not like each other, forced to go out and buy mutual groceries where they clearly loathe each other.

Isn't humanity an odd species?
