JK2006 The fourth week of discussion in today's Guardian - I really regret not attending the book club at the newspaper offices a couple of weeks ago.

I must reread this - and again heartly urge you to do so.

On a different tack I see Salman Rushdie has a new book out. Am I alone in finding him totally, totally unreadable?
JK2006 One of my favourite novels has been adopted and discussed in the Guardian over the past few weeks.

It was one of the early Booker finalists just after I wrote and published my Booker Prize Winner - when I was reading all six finalists every year (I still do - Animal's People is the most recent recommendation) - and I heartily suggest you read it if you enjoy great, imaginative, well written fiction.
