zooloo Unfortunately there's been years of false propaganda about the "marijuana menace" and to now take a more reasoned approach would undermine all that has been propagated previously.

Oh what a tangled web we weave when we set out to deceive!

The current theme is that cannabis nowadays "...isn't the pot your parents smoked" and it's significantly more powerful... which it isn't but as many people over 40 have seen pot didn't automatically destroy lives with one puff they have to reinvent the scare story.

It would take a nobler government than we have ever seen to admit they took the liberty of bullshitting people.

The talk of reclassifying it is only because the Daily Mail think being Class C will cause a drop in house prices or something.

More nonsense to appease the Tabloid herds.
JK2006 I'm with you on this Cat - educate, educate, educate and stop these stupid laws - but see my drugs and the law thread.
The Cat I've never been into drugs of any kind, but I really don't see the point in reclassifying cannabis. Surely one of the main reasons they lowered it to Class C was to free up police time to enable them to pursue bigger fish. Once it's reclassified, police will again be obliged to arrest and process every user regardless of how small. More paperwork, more time on the non-dangerous 'offenders', less time for pursuing the more serious criminals.

It doesn't make sense.
