What a bunch of peasants!

The really sad thing is, Pete, that it would be alot cheaper for us taxpayers if we kept them out of prison and let them get on with fiddling their benefits, as its costs US more to send them to prison anyway !
Pete Clarke What a bunch of peasants!
In The Know Got it !
The man accused of kidnapping Shannon was only "borrowing" her so when they came to check how many children he had (and see whether it tallies with his benefit claim) the figures add up !
veritas you remind me of my belief that those who scream the loudest often have something to hide themselves. It's almost like a mental mechanism that sets off to divert from their own activities.

That's why I get a bit suspicious of those marching out in the streets yelling about the "perverts" etc.

But this benefits fraud thing has probably got heaps of them scurrying for cover now. I bet we don't see too many local residents drawing attention to themselves at present.

Not accusing anyone..just a hunch !!
Chris Retro They're obviously picking them all off one by one now for whatever they can get on 'em.
Benefits cheating is an obvious one, unfortunately it's a way of life on almost every estate in the country. A few years ago I worked 3 months in Fraud for the Benefits Agancy (as they were then) taking calls, and believe me the ones that aren't at it are busy curtain twitchin' and reporting those they think are. Even some relatives of mine were claiming to be living apart for the sake of getting more benefit so for all the scare-tactics adverts trying to change peoples perceptions of benefits fraud it isn't changing anything
