I read a scathing review of a essay by Martin Amis ( who I originally enjoyed but cannot read anymore since he went to the Dark Side like Christopher Hitchens).
At one stage Amis says in his piece.."it gave a glimpse of the coming future"
Coming future ?
isn't that what the futures does-come ?

An excuse could be she may have something rather troubling on her mind that distracted her from elegant grammar.
Maybe you have too, which is why you used "and" twice in a single sentence
