David Owen was heavily involved in the mediation between the Serbs and the Bosnians during the conflict. He showed good sense and insight then. I remember him saying how they all knew that the Serbs were lying about a certain matter, and that the Serbs knew that everyone knew that they were lying, but the Serbs didn't care. |

Indeed - I remember his puppet on Spitting Images. He sat on the end of the cabinet office meetings sketch saying 'Mmmmmm' whilst stroking his hair.
Regarding Karadzic - every time I see his picture I think of Father Ted.
Another long, expensive drawn-out trial trying to prove something which happened years ago. |
