veritas	One very worrying thing about that piece was this : *"But an unfounded charge remains on someone's Criminal Record Bureau file permanently, which can affect future job prospects."* This is really outrageous. Both the claimant and the accused should be able to have their names suppressed in the media. This is far different to other crimes because of the sensationalism that it attracts and the effects that can be caused to a charged person should they be found innocent. By all means convict and lock up those who genuinely commit a sexual assault. I well remember when I was about 15 and I started kissing and cuddling with a girl in the back of a friend's car which led to some mutual groping before she called if off and then got angry ( we were both drunk) and implied I was at fault ( after-all a woman won't lead a man on will she ?). She later complained to others that I was "seedy person" (thank God she didn't go further) and I was embarrassed for months. A few months later a friend reported back that she had picked up a healthy appetite for screwing a bunch of mates in the park (including him)and this just led to more accusations that I was some sort of wimp !. Human sexuality is very complex. But does the media play a role in spreading so much "guilt" about it now ?
BR	In the light of the JOHN LESLIE incident proving again that False Accusers do this time and time again for revenge this feature makes some very valid points - check out the "comments" section as well to see how widespread these actions are becoming.
