Denise That sounds like a Jacqui Smith kind of policy. Was she behind this? I've always found her to be very idiotic and unsuitable for such a high ranking job. Also, she is a bad representation of women. We are not all paranoid bimbos.
JK2006 and further proof of tabloid headline law - dominated by a catchall philosophy of protecting women and children...

Women who claim they had to kill their men because they were beaten up now get small sentences but men who claim they were provoked by the women are no longer to put forward that defence because (as brain dead minister squawks) "we need to stop people blaming their victims".

Aren't they aware of the irony and contradiction?

Or do they not regard women as "people"?

What they mean is - we must believe women - they never lie.
Like "all children tell the truth".

Barking mad.
