zooloo Not exactly a Sherlock Holmes is he!
veritas well they would say that wouldn't they ?

Pity he doesn't sue the bastard for libel.
This gives them an excuse for their previous bad work and a reason not to find the real killer.

As an example of how police can skewer "evidence" see this Daily Mail piece about his "obsession" with Jill Dando-8 newspapers that included stories about her amongst hundreds of old newspapers strewn around his flat.

www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1041211...ed-Barry-George.html

I've seen the police do this just too many times-twist the smallest detail into a huge pice of convicting evidence. It's just too easy and they are very clever at it. How many other innocents are in jail ?-I dread to think.
Anthony Arrogance is one thing, but if such a high ranking police officer genuinely believes that the points he makes in this article even come close to proving George's guilt, no wonder our judicial system is so broken.
JC A lot of the evidence against George was circumstantial, but it could not be ignored. He was a prolific stalker of women. He lived near Jill Dando and I believe he had a fixation with her.

Being a prolific stalker of women doesn't make you a murderer. The most significant part of this man's statement is the last part. "I believe he had a fixation with her." Not a fact backed by evidence - just a belief.

Another interesting point made here is that George was known to stalk women but, he adds, video evidence from 191 CCTV cameras showed Jill was not followed.

The BBC news reporter also made a point about how Barry George lived not far from Jill Dando. Of course, there were many more people living between them, so that is no evidence at all. I'm not sure how interest in ninjas and SAS weapaons fits in with the crime.

I read this and feel so incredibly, incredibly angry.

Basically, "I accept the second jury's decision, but the jury at the first trial were correct."
