Marcus A sad anniversary, but as I said to you at Christmas, the first year is, in my experience, the hardest after losing a parent.
Simply because you have to go through all the special occasions (Christmas, birthdays, holidays) without them. You'll never forget your mother, she will always be very special, but time is a great healer, and eventually you'll remember the happy times rather than the sadness of her passing.
Thinking of you today.
JK2006 In memory, here's a lovely pic of her cuddling me whilst brother Jamie has an ice cream. We're on the pier at Brighton on a day out from Stoke House school in Seaford, which I hated.

The awful headmaster Arthur Spring Rice Piper (isn't the name alone a warning?) used to beat me regularly.

I remember wondering at the time why his other hand was sunk so deeply in his pocket and why he became so breathless after every beating.

Now I'm older, I can guess.
