To answer your question, i make time for this website. I find the forums here good bedtime reading as the subject matters can be thought provoking and give me good fodder for the following day ahead. My eyes have been opened in many respects with regards to media perception and the justice system thanks to post from people like you. Some i agree with, others not so. Thanks for the sentiment. She sleeps like a log (for now). |

It's rather ironic, don't you think BR, that every single one of the minority groups you've just mentioned have, over the last two thousand years or so, been subjected to the most horrendous abuse at the hands of so-called 'Christians'.
It isn't ironic because morality changes. It was moral for them.
I don't feel it's fair to blame religion for people's wicked deeds, it's the people.
Equally I don't feel it's fair to give religion credit for the good people have done. |

Yes-of course children need protection and indeed-the majority of abuse is not sexual but physical and mental abuse or abuse by neglect which I believe could be in many cases far more damaging then sexual.
For instance-I come from a family who down the generations have never believed in physically punishing their children and that's passed onto me-yet discipline was never a problem ( being handled by the denial of treats and such-which I believe was far more effective)
Yet I was sent ot a private school where I still remember the most savage canings from one particular master (fully sanctioned by the school and state) which would have the man locked up today. I remember because I have a slightly deformed finger from one caning. I never thought of mentioning this to my parents until I finally left-whereupon my mother almost had to be physically restrained from tracking the man down and punching out his lights.
Yet that master was acting in a way that was acceptable at the time-although now I remember the absolute fury on his face during these beatings obviously indicated some dreadful malady happening inside his own head.
There is an undoubted "child protection" industry of professional moralisers.
I know one myself very well-yet she tells me she was a drug addicted prostitute at the age of 13..but looked 16 so got away with it. I've asked her how she reconciles the fact she was inducing men to basically commit a peadophile act upon her by deceit-she says that is why she now hunts them down-mainly in Asia. I've asked her why she doesn't concentrate on the real child abuse in Asian-kids working in factories as slave and indentured labour-often for over 12 hours a day/7 days a week.
She says she'll get around to them eventually which is of course-a complete self delusion.
I've come to the conclusion that she is and has always been obsessed by sex and that she is typical of so many like her. ( and the huge government and private donations that fund her first class trips throughout Asia must be an added attraction)
These people can cause more harm than help. They drive myths and contribute to them. Police also promote myths and exagerations-we are still seeing that today with the Jersey so-called abuse scandal where police still promote a yet to be proven tale of murdered children with absolutely no proof. Even Jersey newspapers are now wondering why the tale is being repeated over and over.
Ultimately-innocent people will be charged and damaged and reputations ruined and some will suicide.
And when the suicides happened during that Operation Ore-self appointed child abuse campaigners ( who I believe to be extremly dangerous ) said words to the effect:"well they are no longer abusing".
So there we had these dead people charged, tried and found guilty in the minds of some yet never having faced a court-they died as innocent men. The same campaigners seem to care little about the families and children left behind by these men. Scalps are claimed and that's all that matters. |

You are totally right. The Christian Right has one of the poorest records for harming minorities. I find it totally shocking and unbiblical - and actually unchristian.
Sad to say I think we need to look at books like David ICke's to see how the organised religions have been hijacked by "bloodlines" who want to see conflict on our planet.
Real Christians do not approve of any of this and believe in the teachings of Jesus on these matters. Just to give one example - the public were ready to stone a prostitute called Mary and Jesus intervened and saved her from this. I think this story more than any other shows God's view on sexuality and how forgiveness and love come before the "mucky mudslinging and judgemental society" that we have created.
Bringing that story up to date - THE SUN is the "Public" with stones in their hands and Mary is the sex offender or pregnant 17 year old........ |
