I thought of that Pete - but if there is no sun, some creatures might adapt to exist with colder and colder blood. Therefore reptiles would survive whilst other, warm blooded creatures would die out.

I think that article shows we know so little about our past or our planet's past.
We can all come up with theories - but in reality we have to have "faith" to believe in any religion or belief system whether it is Evolution - Science Based - God based - or whatever.
We live in the present - and at the moment we are seeing our technological progress hampered by our inability to show "humanity" to each other. While we progress we seem to ignore starving millions around the world - and wars seem to still be acceptable. In fact "greed" is rewarded by our Global Society. Rich bankers who have lost loads of money are bailed out by taxation on the poor ( wait for next year;s budget - those of us earning less than |
