BR	Let the current banks fail. Let decent banks take their place. Let them pay decent wages AND bonuses but not to the extent where they bankrupt themselves. We should make it clear to all banks that BAIL OUTS dont happen in the UK. Brown has made a massive mistake - great media story of course. Fuhrer Gordon showing off his financial muscle splashing taxpayers cash all around the City of London with all the rich bankers applauding like seals. Problem is that now he has done that THEY WILL BE BACK for another feeding frenzy at the trough of the TAXPAYER. This is the worst decisions BUSH and BROWN have ever made. There is no financial stability because the economy is going into a deep depression. Not because of the banks - they have just pulled the fastest CON TRICK in the history of finance - and are LITERALLY laughing all the way to their own banks with OUR money. "WE WUZ ROBBED" ( A SUN headline if they did not partake in this con )
JK2006	And as a third area of discussion - what's all this "no bonuses for bankers" crap? More tabloid thinking. Yes, of course executives who got us into shit should not benefit but think this through... government controlling who does and does not get bonuses? So the next time a brilliant whiz kid is trying to do a deal on a new job, everything stops until the Government clears his bonuses clause? NOBODY THINKS THINGS THROUGH ANYMORE! As long as It's A Good Story.
JK2006	And just to cover the MEEEEEJAH part in all this... what do you think is the one over riding motive in their coverage? Could it be... IS IT A GOOD STORY? In all matters that is the only motive. Destroy the world? It's a good story. Human rights? Knock 'em; it's a good story. (Even though we are all humans).
JK2006	Nobody else in the world - not even the great Satan Bush - could make this dramatic and horrifying situation sound as boring as hell but Gordie has managed it. Watching his "fresh and innovative intervention" speech Weds morning at 9.25 I realised he has perfected the art (which I noticed in the Old Bailey) of suffocating life and truth with words. MY GOD HE IS DULL.
