Anita i know who the nice man is and it is a shame that he cannot do a story.i liked him a lot.
JK2006 from someone who says he attended the screening of Vile Pervert: The Musical at the Coronet here in London and also saw Gomorrah there - that is being touted as one of the films of the year but, he says, he thinks VP was just as good and far more original and ground breaking.

Gomorrah is one of the featured films at the London Film Festival. VP has not, of course, even been considered.

"Why is this?" he asks.

Well, one of the reasons is the same as the fact that he sent me a confidential private e-m rather than posted or wrote to the Times - many supporters are understandably nervous about appearing to champion something publicly made by a media monster.

Such support does not approve of or condone any offences I may or may not have committed but that's the way of the media and society these days - so superficial is the tabloid headline coverage, there can be no depth to it.

So whether or not something is good or even great art disappears behind the suffocation of a quick superficial three word slogan.

Fortunately I'm old enough to smile with a cynical smirk at this.

I don't need public praise or support at this mighty age of 63. Had that, been there, ignored it then, sold the T shirt.
