DJones "Math from UK band Dodgy was recently Ringo in a Beatles tribute act for 2 shows so will gladly accept any tat and shit from Ringo fans now - ONLY from Oct 20th though"

JK2006 I found the most disturbing piece of the video the way this - now - grumpy old man sneered "Peace and Love" almost as though he was sending up the message of his (and my) youth.

He made a genuine slogan sound like a bollocks sneer.
PBS Ringo is a decent enough guy.
Many words have been spoken in haste, but if you are a celeb your hastey words can come back to haunt you.
He has, in the past, tried to answer all mail personally. I think he's finally conceded that it's an impossible task, but he chose the wrong words when saying so.

Fans of his music will still be fans of his music.
Bohemian grover I'm going against the grain here but put yourself in his shoes. You receive tons of fan mail then eventually you see it for what it is.What worth is an autograph?
Why send someone something to be autographed? Why quiver with nerves when you meet someone who is famous..they shit in a toilet just like you and I.
Go and see his gigs if you like him ,enjoy his music(which i think is complete bollocks by the way)god this world is so screwed up!!!!

His message did make me cringe though.ha.

Ringo has gotten rather grumpy in the last ten years or so. I have read he does get very depressed, mostly about how so many of his friends are no longer with us... Lennon, Harrison, Moon, Bonham, Bolan etc.

No ... he's grumpy because he's just realised that he was the luckiest musician in the 60's and without three other people he would never have been heard of !!!!
