BR Thanks

Truly shocking.

I really fear for kids and adults who believe the "on line" world is real - and replace the real world with virtual characters. Fun it may be - but too many people dont get out enough anymore.

The poor and vulnerable are especially at risk.
JK2006 Here you go BR - you couldn't make it up (even in CAPITALS)!

Sounds bizarre
emmapeelfanclub This is reminiscent of how too many here in Britain get so caught up in soap operas. Look at what happened when Deidre in Coronation Street got jailed! There were protests, and I saw many displaying posters in their windows demanding that Deidre be freed.

That told me a lot about my home country. Here were all these people getting into a tizzy over somebody that doesn't actually exist... just a pawn in a scriptwriters game.

If all those people showed the concern they had over Deidre to members of their own family and community, it's fair to say life would be more tolerable... but non-existent characters get all the love and attention whilst REAL living, breathing people get snubbed and treated like dirt.

Truly unbelievable.
JK2006 of the death of Megan Meir - has one message.

The boy she killed herself over, Josh Evans, does not exist.

Fictitious people are causing deaths and shame and court cases and prison, whether they be fake heart throbs or graphically created porn or rumour or gossip...

Real deaths are being provoked by events and characters that simply do not exist.

Might it not be time we took a reality check?
