Solihull Exile well spotted mistakes...the very reason they were never adopted here in the first place.
As the dentists chair makes people nervous so will this.Evidence from this will cause even more miscarriages of justice than we have now...we need less of these...not more.
veritas Yet another rediculous scare campaign. The results of a lie detector test can never be used in a court and there are ways to manipulate the results.

If they ever do use lie detectors I suggest the biggest bunch of proven liers in the country put themselves up for testing on a regular basis..politicians !
zooloo If what I hear is right part of the Queen's speech was about lie detector (Polygraph) tests for people suspected of benefit fraud.

All well and good except for the minor detail that they don't actually work very well, quite easy to cheat and just as easily get a false positive.

This is why they're not admissible as evidence in Court.

ETA it's a proposal to use "Voice Stress Analysis"... still don't work though
