veritas It's a sensational story so it's odd that it hasn't appeared in other media outlets.

Note-she had previous convictions for obtaining benefit by fraud but that would never have come out in court had someone been charged. The ways these laws work is a charter for scurillous claims and for former hustlers, male or female, who have fallen on hard times to go for a nice big sum of money in the later days of their careers.

Naturally they never accuse some penniless old pensioner in a council flat but rather go for big names or the well-off.
