david BR why is it strange that she is being reunited with her mother? nothing fishy in that.

I would be willing to admit there was something fishy if someone presented real evidence.

Yes,the age of consent in France is 15, but the main issue is that the girl disappeared, without letting her parents know. How many parents would contact the police if their daughter disappeared? Most, I think.
JK2006 And of course the age of consent in France is 15...

And the mother looks like she's been inflated with the Karen Matthews reverse vacuum Tesco budget machine.
BR another FISHY turn of events.

The girl is now not being re-united with her family or returned to her home.

Very very very very strange.

This is a non story which the Police seem to be manipulating for maximum headlines.

Every week at least 10 girls of this age run off with their often over age boyfriends - with no fuss. In many cases the Police totally ignore the family who report them missing. ( see the report for the actual scale of what is happening )

Maybe this bloke has been told he gets "time off" for his other misdemeanor if he "pulled a stunt" which then the Police could "spin" onto the media.

I believe this is not a straightforward runaway and every day seems to back up that fact.

If we find out that nothing happened between the Fat runaway and the old geezer then it adds even more fuel to a conspiracy theory on this.......
david well maybe they heard that someone had tipped the police off?

quite possible- don't think there's anything fishy about this really.
JK2006 I don't totally go along with your conspiracy theory BR but I do agree there's something very odd about this.

All meejah reports say they "turned themselves in" to the consulate in Lille yet the local up north DCI Littledick is saying they had a "tip off" they were in Lille.

None of it really adds up.

And funny to think if she was a few weeks older it would all be perfectly legal.
